30 years of service and growth
Utah Career College (UCC), formerly The Bryman School, was established in 1977 in downtown Salt Lake City. Today, UCC serves students from campuses in West Jordan, Layton and Orem and offers a wide range of courses online.

Responding to demands of the job market
Originally, the curriculum at the college focused on medical assisting. In response to the growing need for well-trained employees in various industries and occupations, UCC today offers a wide range of degree programs, training students for opportunities in four high-growth employment sectors:
In 1995, UCC was granted permission to award Associate of Applied Science degrees and in 2006 began awarding Bachelor of Science degrees.
A formula that works: theory combined with practice
The scope of our program offerings has grown, but our approach to career training remains unchanged. Every program at UCC combines theory with hands-on practice. A graduate of UCC is prepared to make positive contributions from the first day on the job. Examples:
- Veterinary Technology students study animal anatomy and physiology – and perform lab work and assist in surgery.
- Business Administration students study theories of marketing and finance – and develop plans to resolve realistic workplace problems
- Paralegal Studies courses cover legal ethics – and students compose professional-quality legal documents.
