The College Admissions Process

The college admissions process at Utah Career College is easier than you might think. In just a few simple steps you can enroll in the program of your choice and be on your way to earning your degree.

Contact us and begin the process

Fill out an e-mail form or call one of our campuses: West Jordan (Salt Lake City), Layton or Orem. An admissions representative will contact you, answer your questions, take you on a campus tour, and work with you to assess your career goals, strengths, and interests. When you have found the right degree program, the representative will help you begin the admissions process.

Your application

Next, the representative will walk you through our application process and go over the required enrollment forms. There is a $50 application fee to process your paperwork. You are now enrolled at Utah Career College.

College skills assessment

It is important to identify any skills you need to improve in order to succeed in college classes. You will take the Accuplacer, a standardized assessment tool that we use to help you determine whether you are ready for the program you have chosen.

Financial planning

You will sit down with one of our qualified financial aid advisors to discuss loans, grants, scholarships and other ways of financing your education. The advisor will help you work out a reasonable payment plan.

Military experience, work experience, transfer credits

You can now submit a request to have credit for work experience, military experience, professional training, industry certification training or transfer credits evaluated for application toward your degree program.

Enjoy ongoing academic support

As a student at UCC, you will have access to a broad range of resources to help you succeed in your studies, and career placement services will provide professional support when you graduate and beyond.
