A Leader in Health Degree Programs

Health degree programs at Utah Career College prepare students for employment in medical, fitness, massage therapy and veterinary fields. Class sizes are small, instructors are health science professionals and the emphasis is on hands-on training. Employers seek out job candidates with UCC health degrees.

Training health science professionals for 30 years

Since 1977, UCC (formerly The Bryman School in Salt Lake City) has provided allied health training for students pursuing careers in related fields. In response to the health and medical employment markets, and to student requests, the scope of UCC's health degree programs and its geographic presence have expanded. Today the school has three campus locations: Orem, Layton and West Jordan (15 miles south of Salt Lake City Center), and offers bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees and diplomas in the following high-demand areas. Please contact us for detailed program information.

Health, fitness and veterinary — growing employment sectors

Baby boomers are demanding medical and health services that allow them to lead active lives into their senior years. The United States is facing an obesity problem that approaches epidemic proportions. There is a shortage of licensed veterinarians. A growing awareness of the benefits of massage therapy and fitness training drives an increased demand for specialists in those areas.

As a result of these trends, career opportunities for trained medical assistants, massage therapists, veterinary technicians, personal trainers, pharmacy technologists and other allied health professionals will continue to grow. Health degree programs at Utah Career College prepare graduates to take advantage of those opportunities.

Health science covers a broad spectrum of activities. Allied health professionals require strong interpersonal and communication skills, an eye for detail and scientific and medical knowledge. Although the coursework is challenging, the benefits provided by a health degree are exceptional. Contact a representative to evaluate these programs in light of your personal goals.

Instructors in health degree programs at UCC are professionals in their areas of instruction. Veterinary technology classes are taught by veterinarians and technologists, massage therapy instructors have years of experience as therapists, and health and exercise science instructors have worked with a broad range of clients. Class sizes are small — you will receive individual attention and have the opportunity to build a network of professional relationships while you are still in school.

Students and graduates of UCC receive career placement services that include identification of career and job opportunities and resume and interview assistance. Placement rates among graduates of our health degree programs are high, and students, graduates and employers all testify to the quality of training provided at our school.
