    As a graduate of the UCC Associate in Health Information Technology degree program, you will be qualified to sit for national certification exams and work in a broad range of medical and healthcare related settings. Employers include the following:

    An associate’s degree in health information technology is one of the strongest credentials for a career in administrative support services in the healthcare industy. The degree will demonstrate that you have the medical, technical, business and general knowledge necessary to succeed in a variety of entry-level positions, and that you have the academic skills to take advantage of opportunities for professional enrichment.

    If you are interested in working in a medical office, and want to begin your career as quickly as possible, consider our Medical Coding and Billing diploma program, a four-quarter program. If you later decide to earn an AAS in Health Information Technology , all coursework from the diploma program will transfer smoothly to our associate degree program.
