Massage Therapy College Program

At Utah Career College, massage therapy students prepare for rewarding careers in the gentle-healing profession. Under the guidance of instructors with extensive experience, students receive thorough training and opportunities for hands-on practice in the most-requested techniques and treatments.

Our Massage Therapy PAC (Program Advisory Committee), a group of professionals and employers in the region’s massage therapy community, regularly reviews our college’s massage therapy programs to make sure that our graduates have high-value skills.

The Massage Therapy Diploma program and Associate in Massage Therapy degree program are offered at UCC campus locations in West Jordan (15 miles south of Salt Lake City), Layton and Orem.

Enrollment information

Massage training based on scientific and medical knowledge

Massage therapy training at our college is science based, and our graduates are well prepared to join the community of allied health professionals. Before a student performs any technique on another student or on an outside client, the student completes courses in anatomy and physiology and medical terminology. At that point, the student knows and understands the body and can proceed with confidence that the therapy will cause no harm.

A broad introduction to massage therapy techniques

Our Massage Techniques courses expose students to a broad range of modalities, providing hands-on practice in each area. Later, a student can make a well-informed decision regarding specialization in a specific technique or therapy.

12-week massage therapy national certification review

At Utah Career College, we focus on helping students achieve professional goals. Every student in the Massage Therapy Diploma program or Massage Therapy Associate degree program at our school takes a 12-week national certification review course. UCC even pays the testing fee – we want every graduate to have that valuable credential.

Free community massage clinics

A UCC student has no trouble filling the 100-hour requirement for massage outside of class. We invite the community to free massage clinics, where students greet clients, take health histories and provide treatment – all under the close supervision of an instructor.

Our Massage Therapy college classes provide chair massages at the Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City, and ours is the only school invited to the Sundance Film Festival to provide massage therapy at parties for filmmakers.
