Career Opportunities for Associate Degree Nurses


The two-year nursing program at Utah Career College prepares students for NCLEX-RN licensure exams and careers as registered nurses. Employment settings for registered nurses: Graduates of the UCC Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree program enter one of the fastest-growing employment markets in the U.S. They are prepared to work in a wide variety of settings, including hospitals, emergency rooms, home health care, long-term care, healthcare clinics, public health, hospice-nursing, outpatient care, the military and tele-health services.

Salary expectations  for registered nurses: According to the Utah Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average annual salary for nurses is $52,330, with most earning between $43,370 and $63,320. The US Department of Labor predicts 500,000 new positions for registered nurses in the near future.

Services provided by registered nurses include:

  • Pediatric, obstetric, surgical and critical care nursing
