Thorough, hands-on training in pharmacy technology skills
As a pharmacy technology student, you will receive hands-on training; you will use PDX software to practice electronic dispensing, billing and insurance submissions; you will role-play resolution of ethical dilemmas in the pharmacy; you will practice working with customers. As a graduate, you will be well prepared to assume the responsibilities of a pharmacy technician.
Intensive certification exam preparation
Our college’s pharmacy technology programs include certification review classes, where students practice testing and receive personalized coaching. When, as graduates, they sit for certification exams, they are ready to succeed!

Industry employers have such respect for our programs, and the job market for pharmacy technicians is so strong, our Career Services Department regularly receives requests from employers for pharmacy technology externs and applicants.
Flexible scheduling

Fulfills University Pharmacist Program experience requirement
The University of Utah recommends an applicant to the College of Pharmacy have one year of experience in a pharmacy or healthcare position. The University recognizes our Pharmacy Technology Diploma or Associate in Pharmacy Technology degree as fulfilling that experience requirement.
Associate degree and diploma offered at West Jordan
Our college offers a two-year Pharmacy Technology Associate degree program and a 12-month Pharmacy Technology Diploma program at our West Jordan campus, 15 miles south of Salt Lake City Center.
