When an employer scans resumes from applicants for an information technology position, industry certifications pop out. As a graduate of Utah Career College, you will have more than an associate or bachelor’s degree– you will have technology certifications that verify your high-value skill sets.
IT certifications – hitting a fast-moving target
No field changes as rapidly as information technology. A certification might represent a skill set universally recognized as essential, yet in a few months it becomes obsolete. As a small organization focused on practical, contemporary skill training, Utah Career College is able to respond quickly to advances in IT employers’ expectations.
Our information technology courses map directly to current IT certifications. Graduates of our Associate in Information Technology and our Bachelor’s in Information Technology degree programs are prepared to sit for a variety of certification exams, including the following:
- A+ Essentials certification from CompTIA
- Network+ certification from CompTIA
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
- Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD)
- Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
- Linux+ certification from CompTIA
- Security+ certification from CompTIA
- Certified Cisco Network Administrator (CCNA)
- Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA)
- Certified Wireless Security Professional (CWSP)
