Nursing

The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing will provide comprehensive nursing training that allows graduates to sit for the national NCLEX exam for Utah State Licensure, and begin working as an entry to intermediate-level Registered Nurse (RN).

Our graduates enjoy employment at:

• Free Standing Health Care Clinics

Through lecture, lab work, simulated clinicals, and clinical experience, students will learn nursing fundamentals, medical surgical nursing, assessment, pediatrics, obstetrics, maternal, acute care, community nursing, mental health, and oncology, as well as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, nutrition, chemistry, microbiology, and pathophysiology. The program prepares students to think critically, analyze facts and concepts, synthesize information, and articulate concepts and information verbally and in writing.
